Alternatively, if you know which specific treatment you’d like, please book one of my targeted therapies below.
Acupuncture
(60 min)
A cornerstone of Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 2000 years, this involves very thin needles being placed in strategic points in your body, depending on your symptoms. This is done to stimulate the flow of energy, or Qi, which can cause issues when it becomes blocked. Acupuncture is not generally painful; you may feel a mild ache or tingle, but many of my patients are relaxed by it, regularly falling asleep during their treatment. It is effective for a variety of conditions. You may also experience Cupping or Gua Sha in an Acupuncture appointment.
Cupping and Gua Sha
(30 min)
Cupping and Gua Sha are both used to help stimulate blood flow, bring the blood to the surface, and clear any blockages. In Cupping, I use glass cups and heat to create a vacuum seal on your back, stimulating blood flow and facilitating healing. Gua Sha is similar, but instead of suction, I use a ceramic spoon or stone Gua Sha tool to gently scrape the skin and improve circulation.
Chinese Herbal Medicine Consultation
(30 min)
Following an initial assessment, we will discuss your health challenges and goals. I provide specific lifestyle advice, including dietary changes. I may also prescribe herbs, depending on your individual health concerns.
Remedial Massage
(Part of Restorative Long Consultation)
Remedial Massage is a complementary therapy to treat specific muscles that are tense, damaged, or require rehabilitation. It is used to loosen the tissues of the body, help a patient relax into a treatment, and address acute or chronic pain. Depending on your condition, I may also offer dry needling to deepen your treatment.
